Is the code I inputted incorrect?

I inputted this following code into my workspace and it is working there, but the actual task is telling that it's wrong. Am I doing something wrong? Do I also need to def the value of "c"?

def mod(a, b) puts "The remainder of #{a} divided by #{b} is #{a % b}." return a % b end

puts mod(11, 5)

method.rb
def mod(a, b)
 puts "The remainder of #{a} divided by #{b} is #{a % b}."
  return a % b
end

puts mod(11, 5)
end

I'm getting the same one too. The error I get is "Make sure you return a nicely formatted string."

def mod(a, b)
 puts "The remainder of #{a} divided by #{b} is #{c = a % b}."
end
puts mod(13, 7)

1 Answer

def mod(a, b)
  c = a % b
  return "The remainder of #{a} divided by #{b} is #{c}."
end

This is what worked for me.

its easier to just set c to a variable containing the operation of c % b, and just return the interpolation of the variables a,b,c
