Is there a more proper way to do this?

Is there a more optimal or concise way to complete this challenge? Thanks, Kyle

def combo(itery1, itery2):
    x=[]
    for itm in range(len(itery1)):
        x+=[(itery1[itm], itery2[itm])]
    return x

There's a more compact solution for the task, but the challenge specifically does not allow it as an answer:

def combo(itery1, itery2):
    return list(zip(itery1, itery2))
