10,172 Pointsis there a problem with my code? [Solved]
my code works in pycharm, which is the IDE i use to test before submitting answers to get error messages more clearly. I dont know if I was expected to use the ** method to pack in the function or if im missing something. any help would be appreciated
# E.g. word_count("I do not like it Sam I Am") gets back a dictionary like:
# {'i': 2, 'do': 1, 'it': 1, 'sam': 1, 'like': 1, 'not': 1, 'am': 1}
# Lowercase the string to make it easier.
def word_count(sentence):
sentence=sentence.lower()
words=sentence.split(' ')
result = dict((word,words.count(word))for word in words)
return result

231,275 PointsFor the benefit of other readers, to split on "all whitespace" the argument to "split" should be either left empty or set to None
