If you do the TechDegree program here, then yes, it is more or less like taking college courses online from what I understand about it

how much is the techdegree? I want to learn java in the tech degree.

I don't remember off the top of my head, but you can find a link for the TechDegree program at the bottom of the page. That should help!

oh no it won't say, it just gives you a brief understanding on the java programming language and then finishes off with "java developers typically earn a starting salary of 70k per year."

oh nvm it says $199 per month!!!!!!!!!! Who is this course for wtf...rich people only..?

$199 a month is cheap. $199 will buy you about 2-3 hours of class time at a typical university.

It's a lot cheaper than most colleges charge per course actually

TTH is not really a college, since there is no syllabus, or degree that is granted. It is more just a great online learning resource, but not a college by definition.
