Python Web Development Techdegree Student 5,670 Pointsis wordpress on my pc (i just got used option on my cpanel)?
Hi Developers
I just got my hosting on Godaddy and i used the quick install option so now i can login to my wordpress but how do i edit the child themes and are those files on my pc? I did not have it downloaded in my download history

2,784 PointsWere we supposed to do the 5 minute install in addition to the one click install from cPanel? I'm not seeing any wordpress folder on my local computer. I only see it through FTP on my site.

just login to to the ftp , there will be wordpress files that you could right click and copy to your pc once you edit them then you upload the new file

31,009 Pointsit really is what you name that folder. You have to know how to navigate your ftp server.

11,161 PointsNot sure if you figured this out for yourself but I had the same problem. Login to cPanel (or whatever content management system came with your hosting service). Go to your file manager, select the home directory when it asks which directory to open. Then under public_html you will find all the word press folders shown in this video.
