I don't get why smart object is not the working answer to this question!

the answer is smart object*s* . Notice the plural. I'm surprised it's that picky but grammar does matter.

"smart objects" worked. I hate that level of html-like insistence on grammar. You know CSS, for example, doesn't understand British? Say, you spelled "centre" for "center" and text-align, nothing happens. :) Thanks, Andrew!
