Issue completing challenge

On the Add a Final Else Clause challenge on Javascript basics I keep getting an Syntax error: Parse error response I can't figure out why, here is my code: var isAdmin = false; var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin = true ) { alert('Welcome administrator') } else if ( isStudent = true ) { alert('Welcome student') } else () { alert('Who are you?') }

I have tried various methods and keep getting the same outcome

Disregard - simplified my approach and it worked!

I was going to suggest removing the parentheses after the final else keyword :-)

Thanks, yeah that's what I did, trying to put too much stuff in where its not needed!
