Hi Dave! For this challenge, you have the script tags in the correct place. You have the correct code for triggering the alert, you just need to wrap it in a function and call it.

function myFunction() {
    alert("Hello! I am an alert box!");
}
myFunction();

You need to make sure you have the correct alert in parentheses in order to pass the challenge.
