It says bummer and not passing, please help

why it is not passing

It's not super clear but it's looking for this...

var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase();
userName += '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();

Although your solution would work as well in real world.
