JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Storing and Tracking Information with Variables Using String Methods

It says Task 1 is no longer passing,even though I haven't touched it for Task 2(?????)

I'm not sure if my code for task 2 is even correct, because it keeps telling me the previous one is wrong. But when I go back to Task 1 again, it tells me it is still correct. Anyone know what is wrong/ Thanks

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase();
userName += "#" + lastname.toUpperCase();
index.html

Any syntax error will invalidate the entire script and cause the re-validations to fail.

In this case it is due to referencing an undeclared variable when you wrote "lastname" (with lower-case "n") instead of "lastName" (with capital "N")

Thank you Thank you Thank you Steven. That was driving me nuts!!!!
