CSS How to Make a Website Customizing Colors and Fonts Use Color in CSS

It seemed like when I typed nav { color: #fff; } even when I would visit the link it would stay white.

Was it really necessary to add nav a:visited to keep the links white? They didn't change even if I visited them before I added that piece of code.

Very likely yes. Different browsers behave differently when dealing with default links styles, but many override any colors not set on the :visited state with purple for visited links.

Thanks!
