3,495 PointsIt works when I test in a Workspace but returns an error here?!
Tested in python 2 and 3 and it works well but returns 'str' object has no attribute 'append' on the challenge page. Any suggestions?
# combo([1, 2, 3], 'abc')
# Output:
# [(1, 'a'), (2, 'b'), (3, 'c')]
# If you use .append(), you'll want to pass it a tuple of new values.
numbers = [1, 2, 3]
letters = 'abc'
output = []
def combo(numbers, letters):
count = -1
for number in numbers:
item = number, letters[count + 1]
count += 1
output.append(item)
return (output)
combo(numbers, letters)

231,236 PointsInteresting solution, and you're really close. Here's a few hints:
- for the challenge, you only define the function, don't call it
- you also won't need to define any global test variables
- move your definition of output into the function
That should get you going.
