its still saying it wrong

whats with my brackets

It looks like your function is closing before the conditional. Make sure to wrap your whole function around the conditional in this case your last two lines of code should have closing brackets.

function max (A17, P19) {
  if (A17 >= P19) {
    return A17;
   } else {
    return P19;
  }
}
