I really don't understand why its getting letters its not supposed to.
def disemvowel(word):
word = word.lower()
result = ""
for letter in word:
if letter not in "aeiou":
result += letter
word = result
return word

with the second line, you changed the word, so it would always return the lowercase version of the word in the end. Instead you need to check in the if-statement for the lowercase letter and not change all letters to lowercase:
def disemvowel(word):
result = ""
for letter in word:
if letter.lower() not in "aeiou":
result += letter
return result
