Kj2;

You have a space between the opening quote and the "a is not greater than b" statement. The code challenge checker doesn't like that. Take it out and you're fine.

Happy coding,

Ken

thank you Ken!

Hi kj2,

You have an extra space before ( a is NOT greater than b).

Just remove it and it will work.

I would also change your conditional to this:

if ( a > b ) {
  alert('a is greater than b') ;
}

else {
    alert('a is NOT greater than b');
  }

I receive this message Did you use console.log() inside the if and else blocks?

try this , it works

var a = 10; var b = 20; var c = 30; if (a > b) { alert('a is greater than b'); } else { alert(' a is not greater than b'); }
