I'm not sure why I'm getting an error here. My prompt runs and everything works, but it won't let me continue to the next task.

app.js
var answer = prompt('What is the best programming language?');
if ( answer.toLowerCase() === 'javascript' ) {
  alert("You are correct");
}

You're close. Just change it to

var answer = prompt('What is the best programming language?');
if(answer === "JavaScript"){
  alert("You are correct");
}

and it'll pass. Always double check the question to see if you're doing exactly what the question asks for!
