if i reasssisgn the toUpperCase() again it stilll dont work or is there something else wrong with it ? any hints??

Hi there! Your main problem here is a typo. Seriously. The code for your second "username" would be perfect if it were var userName instead of var username. Note the capitalization. When you fix that, you should probably erase the line above it, as it is not needed :sparkles:
