Courses Plus Student 10,715 PointsYou not saving result of uppercase method. You should do it like this way:
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
id = id.toUpperCase();
lastName = lastName.toUpperCase();
var userName = id + "#" + lastName;
console.log(userName);
or you can make it this way:
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
console.log(userName);
In this case you save the result into the userName.
