Laravel 5 and Angular JS

What are the benefits to using Angular with Laravel? I know Laravel uses blade templates that I can use to display the pages but I see a lot of talk of using Angular to handle the front-end and Laravel to feed it. Is there a benefit to doing this? And if so any resources on how to do it? I am learning both so want to learn the most efficient way and not have to change after a project.
