lists.py step 2

It is asking to use .remove() and/or del to remove any booleans, strings and lists from the_list. What might I be missing here?

lists.py
the_list = ["a", 2, 3, 1, False, [1, 2, 3]]

# Your code goes below here
item = the_list.pop(3)
the_list.insert(0, item)

for idx, items in enumerate(the_list):
    if isinstance(items, bool):
        the_list.remove(idx)
    elif isinstance(items, basestring):
        the_list.remove(idx)
    elif isinstance(items, lst)
        the_list.remove(idx)
    else:
        continue

I haven't taken that course, so i'm not sure what it wants (as an ideal solution). But it accepts a much simpler approach (see https://teamtreehouse.com/community/get-help-2 )
