First, add the android:textColor attribute in the TextView and then copy/paste the Android white value from the RelativeLayout's android:background attribute. like this
android:textColor = "@android:color/#fff092b0"

the complete code is like this "

<TextView
     android:textColor = "@android:color/#fff092b0"
     android:id="@+id/textView1"
    android:layout_width="wrap_content"
    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
    android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"
    android:layout_centerVertical="true"
    android:text="Treehouse loves me!"
    android:textSize="72sp" /> " ```

hope it helps.

Never mind! I checked the android studio background string and used that as an example. Too much fat on the string.
