Description

ICSolutions (“ICSolutions”) is currently looking a highly motivated Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and work with our team of talented engineers to design and develop the next generation of our mobile applications. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications using the SIP and RTP stacks and their integration with our back-end services. This position requires a team member with solid programming experience who is capable of performing with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Located in the heart of San Antonio, Inmate Calling Solutions (“ICSolutions”) mission is to focus technology and resources into creating the next generation inmate telephone systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android Platform.
  • Work with RTP and SIP protocols to develop video conferencing and telephony applications.
  • Work with new Android and Android API versions.
  • Work with outside data sources, APIs and Web-Services.
  • Work on bug fixes and improve application performance.
  • Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
  • Maintain code quality, organization.
  • Self sufficiency to develop and debug in a small team environment

Minimum Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Intermediate or expert level Java programming.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and working with multiple devices.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services & working with JSON.
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with the use of additional sensors; such as GPS, cameras and microphone.
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Understanding of Google’s Android design principles (e.g. Material Design).
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Bazaar & Git.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Experience with third party libraries and APIs.
  • Solid understanding of JNI and use of the NDK.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Telephony experience is not a requirement, but is highly desirable
  • Software development experience on multi-tiered, high-availability, high performance, and high volume transaction systems
  • Experience with Apache, PHP, JavaScript
  • Strong TCP/IP networking skills
  • Familiarity with C

Odd, I created a bitly for it. It seems to work on my end, give it a try. If it does work for whatever reason you can go to https://www.centricgroup.com/ from there on the right hand side you'll see "Career Opportunities" at the bottom of that section "View All Career Listings" click that. From there search by location choose Texas. Sort by title and the first result should be Android Developer.
