JavaScript JavaScript Loops, Arrays and Objects Tracking Data Using Objects JavaScript Object Notation

Loop through arrays in objects.

Before I begin I want to specify that I mean arrays in objects like this:

var object = [
    {
        item: one
    },
    {
        item: two
    },
    {
        item: three
    }
]

Not this like this:

var object = [
    array: [1,2,3]
]

How would I be able to retrieve information from an array of variables in an object like the first example?

1 Answer

Here is a simple example:

var object = [
    {
      first: "hello"
    },
    {
      other: "two"
    }
]

var output = object[0].first;

alert(output);

I hope this helps you implement the idea into your project. Cheers.
