Loopy breaks

I can't figure it out

breaks.py 
def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        print(item)
        if item(0) == 'a'
            continue
        else:
            print(item)
            continue

Like i said in the other post. Use square brackets to get a specific index. And use parenthesis to call something.
