I already have Desktop Server (from ServerPress) on my computer to do some local WordPress development. Would installing MAMP interfere with that since it already is the thing I use to start/stop Apache and MySQL?

55,236 PointsWell, they're both basically the same thing, so I'd just choose one or the other.
If you've already bought a copy of Desktop Server, there's no reason to use MAMP as well. However, if you're using the free version of DS, please note the rather significant limitations, including only allowing 3 local sites. In that case, I'd use MAMP instead.

1,811 PointsThanks. That's pretty much what I figured, but wanted to double check. And I have the full version of DS already, so that shouldn't be an issue.
