Margin in gallery list (images)

I need some clarification regarding the margin property when applied to an unordered list item. What is it's role in the declaration block? Padding removes the padding prior to the bullet point. List-style removes the actual bullet point. How does margin impact each list item?

Hi Benjamin, the CSS margin properties are used to generate space around elements.

The margin properties set the size of the white space OUTSIDE the border.
