I am keep getting error with my meta charset, although I am not sure why.

OR Did the question ask you to set the charset as UTF-8 and not utf-8. Sometimes the answer checker the Treehouse is using can be a bit finicky.

Courses Plus Student 843 Pointsyeah, I tried adding <title">"Joseph</title">", and also tried "UTF-8". It doesn't work, which is fine, but it just bugs me. for some reason the tag is literally being omitted. I actually was correct with the title syntax.

in this case the checker is very picky about spaces, means the charset has to be written without space before and after the equal sign, like so:
<meta charset="utf-8">
that way the code will pass just fine and you can continue on with the challenge. hope that helps you out ;)
