<meta> tag attribute

i have written

<meta charset = "utf-8">

to set the character set , but the interpreter is giving error like

"Remember to add a character set attribute for your meta tag".

please tell me what mistake i have done.

Hmm that looks okay.. Maybe try removing the spaces. Semantic html has no spaces before of after the '=' (equals) sign.

Hi!

You need to remove the space after charset and the equal sign as well as the space after the equal sign and "utf-8". Result should look like this:

I agree with Tom and Saskia, remove the space after the equal sign. <meta charset="utf-8">
