My android studio has mipmap instead of drawable, where should i paste the default drawable files. I tried pasting them in the empty drawable folder but I get an error. How can I work around this? Or how can I fix it? Thank you

Yes, mipmap is a modern replacement for drawable. But to keep it simple I've just created folders like "drawable-hdpi" and so on, and put the pictures there. It worked.

Thanks! But did you create them inside the drawable folder or separately?

Just as with mipmap. So, if there are different files for different screen resolutions, then I create separately drawable-hdpi, drawable-mdpi and all the other folders. If I need only one file, as in the weather application (Stormy), when there is a single XML file for gradient background, then a single "drawable" folder will do.
