Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types String Formatting

My code is correct but it's not passing me on

The challenge asks me to use .format to pass the variable name into the string "Treehouse loves {}". I have the following code and it is not letting me pass. Yet I use it in the console and it works:

name = 'Garry' subject = 'Treehouse loves {}' print(subject.format(name))

Hello, you are doing it the wrong way; .format(name), makes that name (in that case Gary) appears inside {} in a string variable named subject. Like this:

name = 'Gary'
subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)
