my name is now my style color and I'm getting bummer again. what is the problem?

Closing tag on your h1 is wrong, have you tried:

<style>
  h1 {
    color: purple;
  }

</style>

It should be

<h1>Karen Greene</h1>

See the difference on the closing h1 tag?
