7,158 PointsMy task was to create a new class 'D20' that extends Die and is a 20 sided dice. I cannot see what is wrong?
I cannot see why the online tool won't accept this code and simply says 'bummer' when I submit the task
import random
class Die:
def __init__(self, sides=2):
if sides < 2:
raise ValueError("Can't have fewer than two sides")
self.sides = sides
self.value = random.randint(1, sides)
def __int__(self):
return self.value
def __add__(self, other):
return int(self) + other
def __radd__(self, other):
return self + other
class D20(Die):
def __init__(self, value = 0):
super().__init__(sides=20, value = value)
class Hand(list):
@property
def total(self):
return sum(self)

Treehouse ModeratorHi A Fletcher, you are super close! The dunder init of your Die class does not take a value, so a value is not necessary for your D20 class. The value will be an attribute of the class based on a random int up to and including the number of sides that your die has. So, all that is needed is the number of sides as an argument for your super() init. Which means you can also remove it from your D20 init. Great job getting to this point! Keep up the great work!!
Hope this helps! :D
