can I get help with this code? I defined random_item but it wont work

# The randomly selected number is 4.
# The return value would be "h"

  return ra.item[index]

You are very close. item is the value to use as the index. It can be used directly.

def random_item(ra):
  item = random.randint(0 , int(len(ra) - 1))
  return ra[item]
