NameError: name 'avalaible' is not defined

This is too confusing for me. "I think it's time for a snack. Luckily I have a string full of types of ice cream sundaes. Unluckily, they're all in one string and the string has semi-colons in it too.

Use .split() to break the available string apart on the semi-colons (;). Assign this to a new variable sundaes."

in this case, "available" is already defined? i thought it would be as simple as: sundaes = available.split(";")? it seems everything i've tried so far isn't correct

you already have the answer... sundaes = available.split(";") . and yes "available" is already defined

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"

Thanks Kevin. That is the unfortunate problem, i keep getting an error that says " 'available' is not defined". which is really confusing me because i've crossed reference my code and it seems to be correct :/

yea thats weird. when i open the challenge, the "available" variable is already defined

If I read the title of your post correctly, the issue is spelled out (bad pun!):

NameError: name 'avalaible' is not defined

The error is a typo: avaLAIble, should be avaILAble

yeh, i realised this after a few other attempts. face palm! thank you.
