nav tag

In this video, Guil explains we are not going to use nav tag for ul tag section placed just before footer tag because it is not cosidered a major link section. I don't understand this point. In the other video before this video where explaing about nav tag, there is no explain about using nav tag depending on how important a list of link is on a part of on a website. I've understood we can use nav tag for sectioning a list of links to make more organized and more readable on the page. Is it wrong nav tag for the section where Guil doesn't use when coding?

Hi Hanna,

It all depends on your requirements.

Let me explain :

the "nav" element is used to markup major navigation sections in your content and yes as you've said to organize it better, But when Guil said "major navigation section" he simply meant you can use it on important navigation sections but do not start sticking the "nav" tag around every few links.

Hope this helps
