Navigation Issues

I don't know why, but my navigation for this media query code is hanging at the top. Here's my code:

nav { background: none; float: right; font-size: 1.125em; margin-right: 5%; text-align: right; width: 45%; }

depending on the nav beither being a class or id, it will be .nav or #nav respectively

Have to ask: Is your css rule inside the media query? It would be helpful if you would post more code.
