A couple things that need some attention. For starters you need to get the return value of the get_flavor() function and store it in a variable $flavor. You also need to make sure you use concatenation in your echo statement.

<?php
include("flavor.php");
$flavor = get_flavor();
echo "Hal's favorite flavor of ice cream is " . $flavor . ".";

?>
