Need help with WordPress Gallery

Need help with WordPress Gallery

I'm working a WordPress theme. I started building it from scratch using undercores. And I've created a CSS grid that I've have applied to the markup/PHP files with the "col-X" class selector.

All well and good, it works.

But now I've come to the gallery or media and I can't find out what file and where to edit? On the WP Codex I can see references to attachment.php, but it isn't included. And the documentation isn't that good. If I inspect the page with the dev tools, the styling that effect the gallery is inline.

I just want to find out where to apply "col-X" class selector.

I'm confused.

Can anyone help out, a link to some good documentation or site.
