(New student) So, how does my "code challenge" code get into a workspace? Sometimes it seems automatic, other time not..

Sometimes it seems automatic, other times it looks like I have to copy and paste

Curtis, this is always the best choice. Keep on eye on the video and other on the worspace, always keeping up with the teacher.

Answering your question, the Code Challenge never import your code. Sometimes, it sets some elements and/or selectors just to set-up the challenge, but it never brings the code you wrote. You'll have to rewrite it to prove yourself you actually learnt and memorized it :)

Thats right, this also gives you space to try to build and play on top of the previous code

Hey Curtis,

This may be because the Workspaces link is available on webpages with the Treehouse video lessons. They don't show up for the Code Challenge pages.

I believe it is good practice to use the opportunity and play with your code challenges and the code from the video lessons on Workspaces. This approach will make it easier to create your own coded projects.

Thanks, Tommy, I think I get what you're saying. Since I sent the question, I've just done a lesson with two windows always open, one for the video and one for the workspace.
