If you're using windows, take my advice. Install virtual box, and install in ubuntu in there, than update and use Ruby in your linux environment in your virtualbox, on your windows computer.

As you can tell, I'm not a fan at all trying to make windows play nice. I spent more time fixing errors than coding. And it was stupid stuff, it would work one day, and the next day, for no apparent reason, it would fail again...3 hours later I'd be up and running.

After setting up my vb to code in, I've had zero issues.

I think you should install Ruby to make this work.

You probably are using Windows because most Macs and Ubuntus come with Ruby. If you are using Windows, check this workshop out: https://teamtreehouse.com/library/installing-a-ruby-on-rails-development-environment-in-windows-2
