Not clear how the compiler want the code to be written

numbers = []

number = 0

write your loop here

loop do print 'enter a number : ' number = gets.to_i numbers << number if numbers.length == 3 break end end

loop.rb 
numbers = []

number = 0

# write your loop here
loop do 
  print 'enter a number : '
  number = gets.to_i
  numbers << number
  if numbers.length == 3

Jeffrey,

The number you will start the loop from is already provided ( number = 0 ) so you do not have to ask for input. You are correctly using the shovel operator << to push the number onto the end of the array, but then you need to add one to the number variable and reassign it to the variable again. So it might look something like this: 

loop do
  numbers << number
  number = number + 1
  break if numbers == 3
end

Or closer to what you were doing:

loop do
  numbers << number
  number = number + 1
  if numbers.length == 3
    break
  end
end
