Not sure what I'm doing wrong in this challenge

userName += id + "#" + lastName;

As Hannu said, you should type something like:

var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase();

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();

Hi,

You need to set the lastName to uppercase.

Example:

var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
