Not sure what else I need to do

    number = []
    num = number[1:5]
    for num in first_4:
        print(num)

Hi Eswar, I think you're maybe overthinking this first challenge a bit. It simply wants you to return the first 4 numbers given to the function. We can do this in two lines like below:

def first_4(num):
    return num[:4]
