Not understanding where this command Welcome to my site is suppose to go

There is two different <script> And I put it multiple different ways and still not working

index.html
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
  <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>

<body>

To add 'Welcome to my site' to the page you should use JavaScript method

document.write('Welcome to my site');

All JavaScript code must be placed between opening and closing script tag

<script>   //here  </script>

So the final code should look like this

<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
  <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>

<body>
</body>

<script>
  document.write('Welcome to my site');
</script>

</html>
