29,881 PointsYou can edit the php.ini file. There's a section called "Error handling and logging". YOu can set the error_reporting directive to E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE. This will only show more severe php warnings/errors.
The other option is to declare your variables before using:
$var = ''; // empty string
$num = 0;
