Number of Rails Courses about to Expire (200+ steps)

If anyone is interested in grabbing some rails badges before they're retired, there are a handful of old rails courses that are schedued to expire in a few weeks. There are about 200+ steps to complete the courses. If you do about 10 steps a day, you can finish them before September 16.

Just curious, how do you determine a course is about to be retired?

There's a video banner/notification. It's on the following courses:

  • Built a Todo List Application With Rails 4
  • Installing a Ruby Development Environment
  • Advanced Social Features in Ruby on Rails
  • Building Social Features in Ruby
  • Build a Simple Ruby on Rails Application

I see, thanks.

But I'd still question the value of collecting nearly-obsolete badges. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: And the points leaderboards haven't worked right for over a year now. It currently shows me at #2 in Android but I really have only 12 points.

Tis better to have more candy than less. To me, gaining some extra badges is mostly a fun way to learn, if time permits. The badge counter still works.

Perhaps when I'm an old Grandpa these badges will have more significance, when Treehouse takes over the world.

Do you know if they are going to make updated versions?

Several "Rails 5" courses have already been released.

I'm sure more are coming.

That's Good Thanks!
