If anyone is interested in grabbing some rails badges before they're retired, there are a handful of old rails courses that are schedued to expire in a few weeks. There are about 200+ steps to complete the courses. If you do about 10 steps a day, you can finish them before September 16.

But I'd still question the value of collecting nearly-obsolete badges.

47,353 PointsTis better to have more candy than less. To me, gaining some extra badges is mostly a fun way to learn, if time permits. The badge counter still works.
Perhaps when I'm an old Grandpa these badges will have more significance, when Treehouse takes over the world.
