OK, now use .format() on the string "Treehouse loves {}" to put your name into the placeholder.

having trouble with this, not sure what im doing wrong. I put the code into the shell and it worked fine but when i put it into the challenge on python basics it says im doing it wrong. here is what i put up in the shell:

name = "Aaron"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}"
subject.format(name)
'Treehouse loves Aaron'

strings.py
name = "Aaron"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}"

Hey Aaron! You are almost there... all you have to do is user the format() method directly at the end of your string. Like this:

name = "Aaron"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)

Cheers!
