Once the zip file is on my desktop I am unable to open it. I get and Archive Utility error message.

When I click on the downloaded zip file after I have pulled it onto my desktop, the archive utility pops up when I try to open it and gives me an error message that says, "Unable to unarchive "project.zip" into "Desktop". (Error 1 - Operation not permitted.)
