why does this challenge keep coming back. I inputed the correct code,but it just keeps saying Oops! It looks like Task 1 is no longer passing. i would love to know how to pass this or stop it I'm ok with either option.

You to use the lastName.toUpperCase(), if it still says the bummer you need to use += for putting value inside userName like this: var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase(); userName += '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();
