Padding issue

I have my padding set for top and bottom: 15px and left/ right at 10px. Yet the challenge is not allowing me to advance. Where is my error nav li{ display: inline-block; font-weight: 800; padding: 15px 10px 15px 10px; }

Simple, I suggest you reread the instructions before I tell you the answer. I will however post the answer below :)

So it says to select the links in the nav element, which are the anchor elements signified by the <a></a> tags and you are applying the padding and font-weight to the list items signified by the <li></li> tags.

Simply move your CSS to look like such:

nav a {
  color: #fff;
  font-weight: 800;
  padding: 15px 10px; //I changed this to the shorthand version but it is the same as "padding: 15px 10px 15px 10px;"
}

nav li{
  display: inline-block;
}

Dylan's approach works I did find a syntax error in the "nav ul: selector. It contains a ';' after the list-style not a colon ':'.

  margin: 0 10px 0 10px;
  list-style; none;
  padding: 0;
